Sometimes this just makes more sense.
“In theory momentos serve to bring back the moment. In fact they serve only to make clear how inadequately I appreciated the moment when it was here. How inadequately I appreciated the moment when it was here is something else I could never afford to see.”
― Joan Didion, Blue Nights
Been feeling some stress lately, so today I took the day to myself.
I went through some photos I had developed from some really really old film, found in a camera bag, made in the 70's.
I read, napped, read some more.
I facetimed with a stranger in PA, who's moving into my home once I leave, and became quick friends.
I stared out windows without worrying about the time and what I 'should' be doing.
I talked with my family and laughed a lot.
I made a Mexican soup and cut up 10 different toppings to add, you know, just for the variety.
Now it's time to knit.
